The time for deep nourishment is here.

I wake at two a.m. with a remembrance—an old, wise woman stirring deep within.
She is calling from her hidden home in the forest of my heart.
And I call to her—
To relearn the ways of nourishment.
The cycles of touch and song.
To drink in herbs that soothe the body, quiet the mind, and restore the spirit.
To disconnect from the illnesses of the world—noise, pollution, distraction, and endless striving.
To be still. To receive. To connect with peace within the body.
We are living in a time of outcomes that make us cry.
The deepest loss of all: not hearing our own inner voice.
Shaming, silencing, and forgetting the sacred ways of our spirit.
In this disconnection, the body withers. The soul dries up.
There is sorrow in our neglect of the womb.
Sorrow in how we’ve allowed man to enter—not just physically, but emotionally—
with distorted desires, wounded behaviors, and beliefs about women.
Sorrow in how we’ve self-mitigated, denying our own sacredness.
The death of the woman within.
We disfigure her.
Ignore her.
Feel shame and embarrassment toward her.
So we hide her away.
But I call to her now.
From deep within the woods.
I ask to visit her—for tea, for her balms for my soul, to listen once again.
To lay by her fire.
To feel her healing hands upon the places in my body that ache for care—
touched with oil, herbs, prayers, and reverence.
To allow the flow to return.
To reconnect.
To observe and listen from the heart.
To gently remove the blocks I once built to keep her away.
I ask her to return as a teacher in my life—
the wise healer that my child, my maiden, and my mother selves have longed for.
Let me go to her and listen.
Let me take up space in my body—with breath and movement.
Let me stretch wide, then return to myself on the exhale.
Let me release every last thread of breath until I return to my true being:
Beauty. Light. Space. Vastness. Life within.
Let my organs be refueled—
Heart. Ribs. Legs. Hips. Womb.
Let me twist, turn, and nourish myself through sacred movement.
I now return to the woman within.
The drought in my soul is no longer in need.
Let these words be the medicine you take, too.
We are living in a time when the return of the woman is not only sacred—it is necessary.
The imbalances of power, greed, and convenience have shown themselves to be the root of our mind and body illnesses.
Will you hear the call to return within?
You are needed—right now.
